By downloading, accessing, or using the Wattwise mobile application ("App") or our website ("Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not install or use our services.
2. App Access & Utility Integration
To utilize the App's primary feature set, you must connect the App to your local utility electricity provider account.
- You represent that you are the primary account holder or have explicit permission to access utility information for the synced household.
- You authorize Wattwise to retrieve historical and active energy load data from your smart meter.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
3. Acceptable Use Guidelines
You agree to use our App only for lawful residential or commercial energy optimization. You will not:
- Falsify credentials or connect utility accounts that you do not own or possess the rights to access.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer or extract the machine learning algorithms used for appliance signature analysis.
- Inundate or flood our APIs with automated script requests that compromise server performance.
4. Subscriptions & Billing
Certain premium optimization coaching reports require a paid subscription ("Wattwise Plus").
- Subscription fees are billed automatically in advance through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
- All subscription purchases are subject to the refund policies of the respective app store platform.
- You can cancel your subscription renewal at any time within your app store account settings.
5. Intellectual Property
All assets, user interface layouts, software algorithms, logos, trademark names, and visual designs are the exclusive intellectual property of Wattwise Technologies Inc. and are protected by international copyright laws. Use of our logo or app visuals without written consent is strictly prohibited.
6. Limitation of Liability
Wattwise is a smart-home optimization coaching tool designed to help you analyze electricity habits.
- We do not guarantee specific monetary reduction percentages on your utility bills.
- We are not responsible for any electrical hardware failures, smart plug overloads, or thermostat configurations that occur during simulated recommendation updates.
- In no event shall Wattwise be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the app features.
7. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in state or federal courts located in San Francisco, California.
